Klezmazel is group of five musicians who decided to resurrect musical skills learned long ago in a way that enables them to celebrate the joy of life. The group takes their cue from a 500 year old tradition of ethnic music most closely associated with the Jews and Gypsies of Eastern Europe. North of Dixie is a 5 piece band that plays an eclectic mix of original songs, bluegrass, old time jazz/swing and anything else that “feels good”! Shelly Miller lays down the banjo and acoustic guitar sounds. John Lynch adds the rhythm guitar. John and Shelly write or co-write most of the original songs.
